Itinerary
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival, your chauffeur-guide will meet you at the airport. Enjoy a scenic drive to Habarana, the heart of the cultural triangle and a famous hub for wild elephants. Check into your nature resort and spend the evening relaxing after your flight.
Enjoy a relaxed morning at your resort. In the late afternoon, embark on a thrilling 4×4 jeep safari in Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park. Witness the awe-inspiring sight of massive wild elephant herds feeding, bathing, and socializing around the lakes as the sun sets.
After breakfast, travel to the hill capital, Kandy. En route, you can optionally visit a spice garden. In Kandy, explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and enjoy a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance in the evening.
Leave the cool hills of Kandy and travel down to the dry zone savannas of Udawalawe. Known as Sri Lanka’s closest comparison to an African safari, Udawalawe guarantees year-round elephant sightings. Check into your safari lodge near the park boundaries.
Start your day with an exciting morning jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park, spotting wild elephants, crocodiles, and exotic birds. Later, visit the Elephant Transit Home during feeding time to watch adorable orphaned baby elephants rushing for their milk.
Enjoy your final tropical breakfast. Your guide will drive you safely back to the Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your departure flight, concluding your majestic elephant trail adventure.
